Plan to attend the 2019 Midwest Travel Network Conference in June and you will find yourself in Rough Rider Country. Theodore Roosevelt arrived in the badlands of North Dakota in 1883. He wanted to be part of the romanticized American frontier. He immediately fell in love with the region, going on to become a big game hunter, a local rancher and a real life cowboy. Pre and Post- Conference Activities

We are still in the planning stages for the specific pre and post-conference activities. But that doesn’t mean we can’t drop a few hints.

Medora Musical

The Medora Musical is the rootin’-tootinest, boot-scootinest show in all the west! Live and outside, this is one tradition you don’t want to miss.

Pitchfork Fondue

Imagine your steak skewered by a pitchfork and cooked over an open fire. This treat often goes hand in hand with the Medora Musical. Medora will entertain you with Cowboys and Chuck Wagons.

Cowboy Hall of Fame

The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame sets a lofty  mission for itself. It strives to preserve the history and promote the culture of North Dakota’s Native American, Ranching and Rodeo communities by informing and educating people of all nations and cultures about the state’s rich and colorful heritage.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park

The iconic Theodore Roosevelt National Park showcases the North Dakota Badlands. Unique wildlife, topography and history populate this National Park. There is a 36-mile Scenic Loop, Maltese Cross Cabin and Ranch, miles of hiking and biking trails and three visitor centers.
